What makes Gabe Rene LLC different from other photographers in Texas Hill Country?
Honestly? We're not just photographers. We're a full-on creative studio doing photo, video, graphic design, and content strategy all under one roof. You're not hiring someone to show up and point a camera at you. You're getting a team that actually gives a damn about making your brand or your big day look incredible. Oh, and we're pretty fun to hang out with for 8 hours too. We love working with couples, brands (big and small), families, and individuals who understand the investment in great photography.
Do you shoot both photo and video?
Yep, and that matters more than people realize. Most photographers in our area are photo only. We do both, in-house, with the same cinematic eye across every frame. One team, one cohesive look, zero "our styles don't match" awkwardness.
Are you available outside of Texas Hill Country?
Always. We're based in Kerrville but we stay ready to travel. San Antonio, Austin, Houston, DFW, Big Bend, Terlingua, Mexico, Europe. If your project takes you somewhere worth pointing a lens, we're probably already packing a bag.

Pricing & Packages
How much does a photographer cost in Texas Hill Country?
Depends on what you need. Portrait sessions start around $550 and go up from there depending on scope. Weddings day of coverage starts at $3750 with packages starting around $5000, brand shoots, and full commercial productions are custom quoted. We're transparent about pricing so just ask and we'll give you a straight answer.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yep. A retainer holds your date and takes us off the market. It's how we both know this thing is happening. The rest is due closer to your session or event.
Do you offer payment plans?
Ask us. We'd rather figure something out than lose a great working relationship over a payment timeline. We're not a big faceless corporation. Just reach out and we'll talk it through.
Do you charge travel fees?
For most things in the Hill Country and Kerrville area, travel is included. San Antonio, Austin, and beyond may have travel fees depending on the project and where we're actually going and the logistics. Destination work gets quoted separately. Either way, we'll always be upfront about it before you commit to anything.
Weddings
How far in advance should I book my wedding photographer?
The sooner the better, for real. Popular dates in the Texas Hill Country and Texas fill up fast, especially in the spring and fall. Ideally, you're locking us in 12 to 18 months out. That said, if your date is coming up sooner, just reach out anyway, and we'll see what we can do.
Do you shoot both wedding photos and video?
Yes, and we're big fans of couples who do both with us. Same team, same style, same vision across your photos and film. It shows in the final product in a way that two separate vendors just can't replicate.
How many photos will we receive?
Most full-day weddings come back with 400 to 800 edited images, depending on coverage length and how wild the reception gets. We focus on quality over quantity. Every image in your gallery is one worth keeping.
How long does it take to get our photos back?
Typically 4 to 8 weeks, with sneaks being 24-48 hours. Need them faster? Rush delivery is available, just mention it when you reach out.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Abso-fuckin-lutely. All across Texas, New Mexico, Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, New England, and beyond. If your love story takes you somewhere epic, we're showing up with cameras blazing and probably having a really good time.
Will Gabe actually be shooting our wedding?
Always. Gabe leads every wedding shoot. Kyle is our second shooter and style director for bigger events. If anything ever changes, you'll know well in advance. Plus, our team has other great pros who have been working/training with Gabe.
Do you shoot elopements?
Hell yes. Elopements are some of our favorite work. Intimate, intentional, no fluff, no 200-person guest list telling you how to pose. Big Bend, a courthouse, a rooftop in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. We're in!
What if it rains on our wedding day?
We shoot in the rain (of course, if it's safe). Some of our best work has come from dramatic skies and unexpected weather. We'll plan backup options with you ahead of time, and we promise we won't be the ones freaking out on your big day.
Brand & Commercial
What is brand photography and videography, and does my business actually need it?
Brand photography and videography is imagery built specifically to represent your business. Headshots, lifestyle content, product shots, behind-the-scenes, campaign visuals. If your business is out here using iPhone photos or stock images to represent itself, yeah, you definitely need this.
How long does a brand session take?
Our brand shoots typically run around the 60-90-minute mark, but most businesses opt for our half-day or full-day content days. Bigger campaigns with multiple locations, wardrobe changes, or team shoots (headshots) can be part of half/full-day bookings. We'll map out a custom plan with you before we ever show up on set, so nobody's standing around wondering what's next.
Can you create content specifically for social media?
That's a big part of what we do. We shoot with your platforms in mind and can deliver content that's formatted, on-brand, and ready to post. No dumping 300 random files in a Dropbox and wishing you luck, if you need more than just files. We can build you a whole ass campaign with taglines, CTAs, and more. Let's talk!
Do you work with small businesses or only big brands?
Both. Solo entrepreneurs, local Hill Country businesses, regional brands, and larger commercial clients. If your business gives a damn about how it looks, we want to work with you. If you have products needing amazing imagery, ship them to us! You don't have to be close to work together.
Portraits, Boudoir & Specialty
What should I wear to my portrait session?
We can send you prep info before your session. Short answer: wear what makes you feel like yourself, bring a backup outfit, and skip anything with loud patterns or big logos. When in doubt, solid colors and layers are your friends.
I'm awkward in front of a camera. Will that be a problem?
That's literally most people who walk through the door. We're really good at making it feel easy. We'll talk, crack some jokes, ease into it, and by the end, you'll forget we're even there. Promise.
Is boudoir only for certain body types?
Not a chance. Boudoir with us is for every body, every size, every age, every vibe. The whole point is making you feel powerful and gorgeous in your own skin. We take that seriously. LGBTQ friendly.
Do you work with Models for content on platforms?
Hell yea! We love working with content creators for all the platforms. Yes, even the NSFW clients, too. Let's talk.
Do you do maternity sessions indoors or outside?
Both. Golden hour outdoors, cozy in-home lifestyle sessions, and styled studio setups. Whatever fits your vibe. We'll figure it out together before we ever pick up a camera.

What is Trendy Booth?
It's our luxury photo booth experience, and it's a lot cooler than whatever you're picturing right now. Studio lighting, custom print templates, sleek design, and a setup that actually looks like it belongs at your event, not fighting with the decor. Available for weddings, corporate events, parties, and brand activations across Texas Hill Country, San Antonio, Austin, and beyond.
How is it different from a regular photo booth?
Most photo booths are a clunky box shoved in the corner with harsh lighting and prints that end up in the trash by midnight. Trendy Booth brings studio-quality everything — lighting, prints, design, and full-service from setup to breakdown. Your guests will actually want to use it and actually keep the prints.
Can it be branded for corporate events?
Absolutely. Logo overlays, branded print templates, custom backdrops, and branded photo sleeves. All available. It's a legit marketing activation disguised as a really good time.
